A mystery box arrived from “Rod Hull” (and Emu) at The Future Was 8-bit, with no clues at all on the outside as to what was in it. It turned out to be a very silly Christmas package with a genuinely good Commodore 64 cartridge hiding inside.
What was in the box?
First out was a mug featuring Rod and his mighty spirit animal Emu, with Kung Fu Flash branding, lime jelly and a sunset over the mythical Pink Windmill. It came with a matching coaster for my new kung fu coffee cup.

Next was a TFW8B Kung Fu Flash pen (who needs a Blankety Blank pen? I am sorted for life), a full-sized Kung Fu Flash mouse mat to go with my DivMMC mouse mat, and a Christmas card.

The Kung Fu Flash cartridge
Then the real treat: a Kung Fu Flash, Kim Jørgensen’s cartridge for loading disk and cartridge images into a Commodore 64 from a micro SD card. Even out of the box it is very well made, with lovely clicky buttons, and there was a micro SD card included too. The support list looked great, so a proper review was definitely in order.

The last item was the “magic jelly” with upgradeable jelly storage, which I spent a while trying to plug in. If I keep bashing away I am sure it will slip in eventually.

Thanks, Rod and Emu
That was a wonderful surprise, so thank you. You can find lots of retro goodies at TFW8B.com. Merry Christmas and a happy 8-bit new year.
