A dodgy cartridge bent the pins in this Atari Jaguar’s cartridge slot, a repair I was told was nine out of ten difficulty. I desolder the old slot pin by pin and fit a new Molex connector.
The Kung Fu Flash is Kim Jørgensen’s open source cartridge emulator for the Commodore 64, sold ready made by The Future Was 8 Bit. I open it up, test disk, PRG and CRT files, and update the firmware.
Replacing the official Dreamcast BIOS with a Japanese Cake custom BIOS: full teardown, hot air chip removal, a lifted pad repair, hand soldering, two extra wires and a look at what the new BIOS can do.
The Sega Master System II only outputs RF. I build Tor-Eirik Bakke Lunde’s small composite board, wire it to the Sony CXA1145P, fit three RCA sockets to the case and test it.
Our second look at the Amstrad CPC 464 found in the woods. I cut out rusted screws, remove every chip including the ULA, and fight corroded joints to see whether the board can be saved.
