Box of Commodore Amiga floppy disks donated to Mark Fixes Stuff

Package openings had somehow become my most popular videos in 2013, mostly because they were all I’d been able to do while we moved house. This one came from Ian G: a big box of Commodore Amiga floppy disks, very well wrapped and packed in a proper disk holder. It’s a short one, and I did warn in the title that it might be a bit boring.

A quick channel note

As I explained in my channel update at the time, I hadn’t been fixing much because of the move, hence the new filming location. We were also having building work done on the house, so the retro gear might end up somewhere else again (entirely my idea, and nothing to do with my wife not wanting it in the newly extended lounge).

What was on the disks

I went through the labels on camera. Among them were Speedball, Space Invaders, a Smurf animation, Magic Pockets (I love that game), and Amiga versions of Jet Set Willy 2 and Manic Miner. A lot of them were “backup copies”, and as I don’t have the originals for those, they won’t be getting used.

Thank you very much, Ian. You rock.
