Tomlov sent me their DM601 HDMI digital microscope, so I put it to work inspecting a fire-damaged, ultrasonic-cleaned Amiga A600 board for lifted pads and leakage damage.
A stack of boxes opened at last: a CD-i 450, Japanese junk, Spectrums, Archimedes machines on loan and the clear resin A600 case.
The Amiga A600 from my house fire tried to boot, but its board was coated in greasy soot. My first ultrasonic cleaning attempt, from mixing the solution to the results.
300 degrees, then two weeks in mouldy water. I plugged in the Amiga A600 board from my house fire expecting nothing, and it produced a picture.
A box of open source retro PCBs from PCBWay, from Amiga RAM expansions to an UnoCart 2600, each one a future project for the channel.
