From e-waste to a 55 inch light-gun arcade

My Ultimate 3DO had games on an SSD but no controller. I build an RP2040 USB to 3DO adapter, flash Joypad OS and finally play.

The Japanese FZ-1 gets a UK 230V transformer, then the CD drive makes way for a Fixel ODE and an SSD in a custom 3D printed mount.

A Japanese FZ-1 mainboard with a 240p switch becomes the heart of my Ultimate 3DO. First, a thermal health check, drive tests and two capacitor swaps.

Zak had never touched a 3D printer. I gave him the Bambu Lab A1 Combo and the manual to see how beginner friendly it really is.
