DIY retro builds and modifications: flash carts and multicarts, diagnostic cartridges, controller adapters, video and region mods, kits and PCBs built from scratch.
An NTSC Atari 7800 with RF only output and a rare power socket. I fit TFW8B’s Deluxe composite mod, swap in a standard barrel jack without cutting the case, recap it and test some games.
Replacing the official Dreamcast BIOS with a Japanese Cake custom BIOS: full teardown, hot air chip removal, a lifted pad repair, hand soldering, two extra wires and a look at what the new BIOS can do.
The Sega Master System II only outputs RF. I build Tor-Eirik Bakke Lunde’s small composite board, wire it to the Sony CXA1145P, fit three RCA sockets to the case and test it.
The Amiga CD32’s official pad is awful, so I build the Monster Joysticks Deluxe CD32 kit step by step, with its Sanwa stick and seven buttons, then test it with some games.
The Atari 7800 deserved better controllers. I build a small adapter that lets you use a Sega Mega Drive pad on the 7800, then put it through some games.
